We went to see the latest, and not the lousiest, of the Star Wars adventures. If you haven’t seen it, and you are worried I am going to tell you it sucked, don't worry. We had a great time at the showing. It was really something, and fun all the way through, but not because of the movie. We went to what they call here in the CZ "Gold Class." It costs a bit more, but it's well worth it.
We got the last 2 tickets (the theater holds about 20 people), so we knew it was really going to be something special. "Star Bores; Rerun of the Sith" in the Gold Class - and sold out at that!
Being a bit late, it was a scramble to get out orders sorted out before it was time to take out seats. We opted for the standard "One beer now, and then one more each 30 minutes." For us, that meant a total of 4 beers throughout this 2hr. film (note: they serve small beers, like the ones you get back there, in the Stasis while basking in the glory of yer Freedumb).
Our seats were in the back (last ones to get tickets). No worries, there are no bad seats in the Gold Class, babe. We sat in the cushy blue velour recliners, and sank right down into the Lush Gold Class comfort. I wasted no time, and popped up the foot rest, took a couple of deep breaths so I could fully appreciate the Gold Class atmosphere. I was ready for the show.
The preview began...yes, that's correct, I used the singular there. There was only one preview before the movie...and no commercials! Ah. If only flying could be like this! Only one problem...where were the first beers? It's ok, I figured, the waitresses were just getting their stuff organized. Sure enough, the door opened, and they started coming in bearing trays loaded down with treats, anything from sandwiches, popcorn (ham flavored of course, they don’t have butter flavor here), and meals to Ice Cream Sundaes. Eventually, one of the trays was ours. The beers had arrived! Now the movie was really beginning.
Gold Class, babe!
I won't go into detail about the film (except to wonder how the spaceships of the very first Star Wars were better than this one?), but I will say that we probably could have used a couple more beers in the belly before we got there to help the film along - although there were several parts where I found myself laughing quite hard and loud even with the small beers.
So, if you are going to see this here "movie"...go Gold Class Babe.
