Fuego's Place - a place to burn with Fuego

Zozobra Burns, Prague Mystified!

Well, it came to pass. Prague's first 9th Annual Zozobra! Let me see if I can get a picture in here:

Or a short video:Zozobra Praha!**

Well, nope, not gonna happen just yet. (PIt seems I don't have the good paint program installed on this computer yet. I like to use the full resolution with the camera, so the files are a bit on the big side for web action. I'll have to get that in there so the world can share the experience that was Zozobra Praha!
In other news, I am currently on my way to the US. Finally, the day arrived (about 4 hours after Zozobra - which also featured some super green chili stew, the latest green chili cheese bread, as well as some chicken curry...) and I left. Well, I'm still here, it's just not the same here that it once was. Now, this here is an aluminum capsule somehow suspended thousands of feet above the ground by the sheer belief of all of here that it really should be doing this, keeping us happy and safe here somewhere in the Greenland region. Don't feel like I'm making any sense, I do have to admit that I am a bit on the tired side. I wish I could sleep while traveling.
So, I'm looking forward to a wild and crazy night in Albuquerque, lots of eating with green chili enhanced dishes, and the big game between the CZ and Kanada in hockey. It will be a sad day in Kanada, and an even sadder day for Kanadians in Prague, if the Czechs win. IF things go well, I'll be able to see the last half or so.
Anyway, thanks to all of you who helped make Praske Zozobra happen, thanks to that guy with the matches, and to the Prague fire department for not bothering to show up
Now, I’m on the last leg of the trip. Horribly sober since they no longer serve free sauce on the international flights, and way thirsty for a tasty barley pop. An I so thirsty that I am willing to fork over the five bucks? I forked three fiddy to the Swiss stewardess for the coffee (not real fair, that, hard to make a decision like that before you have the coffee), so is another dalla fiddy that much for a pivo? I suppose it all depends on what kind of beer it is. The drink cart is slowly making it's way back here, should be here about the time we land. And once we do land, are the beers going to be much cheaper? I’ve also just remembered that these will be small beers. Man, the reality of coming home is starting to sink in. Good thing I start work on Tuesday, gonna need the paycheck just to have beers around here! THey have Heiniken, and I'm wearing a Heinken shirt, so I went for it! LIfe on the edge, man, life in the vast lane!
One thing for sure, we are going to need more than the 8 Gamgrini I brought.
Marianna! Send us a keg of Gambrinus!
And Hurry!
...fuego...dang, that beer went fast...

** made a little shitty video. It's real little, it's pretty shitty, and it runs on Win Media Slayer. But check it out. When there is time and a better connection...too bad that video camera was (and still is) gone!
OK, I am adding this at a later time. I am getting alot of folks looking for Zozobra info, and it's not here. I hope at least you go to see the video. Here are a couple of Zozobra links to help you on your way:
Official Zozobra Site
Some comments from Zozobra Viewers
Some Zozobra history from the Hilton
More Zozobra History
Thses are just a few of the sites, but they do a good job of informing folks about Zozobra. I hope this helps you out, for what ever reason you are interested in Zozobra. You should try to get there, if you can. And stop by here from time to time to see about the next Zozobra Prague celebration!
