A day and a half here in Toronto...so far, so good. Almost. As a burgeoning hub of film activity, Toronto is on its way to taking a place right next to Clovis in the entertainment world. However, Toronto does share some similarities to its New Mexico sister city, you see, it seems that one can only buy sauce in special stores here in Toronto, and they close early. In other words...we got no beers this eve. Well, at least here, unlike Clovis, the bars are still open. It's just that it's Toronto, and, quite unlike Clovis, it's a big city (4th largest in North America, so I'm told), and it's expensive. Well, we've got a big day tomorrow. Worlds tallest building (as in the CN tower). We've got a Zoo, museums, Canadian bars, some ice skating, some eating, and perhaps another bar. We shall see.
So far Little Cuba is all right. Hector and his mamasita Hecmer are bien. IT's a strange mix of Czech, Spanish, English, with a hint of French here in Toronto. Hector spent several years in the CZ studying the lingo, and speaks pretty darn good. He also speaks Canadian pretty darn good. I've been trying to learn a bit while I'm here. So far me and Marianna and I are still a bit stuck on "touk." We're trying, tho, give us a few days.
The excitement about the contest is beginning to heat up. That's right, be the 1000th visitor to the site, and win some prizes. So, keep track! IT's not too far down the road!
