Fuego's Place - a place to burn with Fuego

Lotza Rockin Here, but it ain't that big, and it ain't that easy

Hey ho from New Orleans! Things are going swimmingly here in the "Big Easy," a town that wakes up about as fast and early as I do. We've done some wonderin' 'round and seein' stuff. Seems there are live bands wherever one tends to end up. Saw my amigo Miguel last night, for the first time since his Olympic Debut in Salt Lake City. He is much harrier that he was back then. Ah, how times change the times changing.
Not sure what's in store for today. Gotta call up King Nino and see what the cool kids are doing in this here town. Haven't had the chance to see the Ninster in concert yet. Hopefully that chance will come.
We are staying in a cool lil' apartment about a block away from the old church. Here, I must stress the "the" part of "the old church." Perhaps I should even break out some HTML globody glook and say it this way: the old church. I an told it's the oldest church in this here USofA! And, ladies and gentlemen, that is why the "the" had to be italicized. So, the fact that we are staying a mear block away from the old church, puts us in a pretty cool part of town. That, with the faux zebra skin wall to wall carpet, and the giant Velvet Elvis make it a pretty cool pad. It is, of course, not ours. We are guests of a Monsieur Andre la Plac ( I don't think that's his real name, so I didn't change it in order to protect the innocent). A man who, when he visited Prague, was lucky enough to go to the Indoor Archery Range and Bar with us. Those, my friends, were good times. Drunken revelry with targets, good fun indeed. It seems he was impressed enough with that evening in Prague that he has no problem letting us use his place for a few days. Three beers for Andre (or whatever his name may be)!
On the way down, we visited Graceland. I have to say, my overall impression is that Graceland is small! One would think that a guy like Elvis would build himself a friggin big ol' house! The kitchen is about the same size as the one back home (although it had more TVs). And the pool? Miniscule! Well, I did get over the initial shock eventually. We also took some Illegal Graceland Video! Which I will get on the site once I've had a chance to edit it a bit. It's in line behind the Little Rock Bowling adventure. (More trouble with the BlueLaws - no sauce on sundays unless your biggest income is from food, which, at the bowling alley, it wasn't - film at 11.)
Well, as they say, more later...
...fuego
PS: Does anyone know anything about getting residency here in Ne Orleans?
