Fuego's Place - a place to burn with Fuego

Finally, a moment to be at home.

So, I’m in Prague, and I am still recovering. Yes, that’s my excuse, still recovering! That’s why I have been so slow in updating this lil’ ol’ web site!
I do have to say, it is good to be home again. We didn’t really get here until yesterday evening. Yes, I know, the flight and all arrived the day before, but, you see, we had to go and get our car. It was parked at Marianna’s mom’s husband’s place down in Moravia, and it was imperative that we head down right away and pick it up. They were selling the old house, the new house wasn’t ready, the car! You must come get the car! (This, by the way, was all told to us at a Christmas party we were “encouraged” (by the same man) to attend.) SO, Friday evening, we headed down for the night in Moravia. Soft beds, travel, giant bugs, and reports of werewolves all gathered together and said “no good night of sleep for you guys!” Well, ok, there was a soft bed, and chatter from my brother whining for help with his little book, and some beers. That’s probably more likely what caused the lack in sleep. The huge bugs and werewolves really didn’t matter all that much. Anyway, it all leads to not much sleep.
We did get the car, Marianna’s mom did serve us beer for breakfast, and we did get home (after a nice lunch in a little Moravian town, and some creative directions from a navigator who can’t pronounce the Czech town names, but who shall also remain nameless…)
When we got home, finally, once and for all, no parties, no wandering cars, no werebugs and soft beds, I crashed in all senses of the word. It was hard enough for me to climb up into our loft-like bed before I fell to sleep. AH, sweet sleep in my own bed! If only I hadn’t left my healthy pillow in the US,
but that’s a different storey altogether.
