Fuego's Place - a place to burn with Fuego

A sad day for the USA - the truth is dying.

I was flipping through my normal channels on the ol' internet when a head-line caught my eye. It seems Hunter S. Thompson has killed himself. Yes, a sad day fro the USA indeed. There are many theories about the death, none of which appear in the news. As Thompson himself once said
"Fiction is based on reality unless you're a fairy-tale artist,'' Thompson told the AP in 2003. ``You have to get your knowledge of life from somewhere. You have to know the material you're writing about before you alter it.''
Having shaken hands with J. Depp, I feel that I knew Hunter, and I am sad about his departure, but hopeful that we will get some good books from him out of heaven and/or hell, depending on this next assignment. OF course the theories of 12 men dressed as Ninjas breaking into the house with high tech US Gov. issue equipment abound. There are traces to Oswald, but having "died" so long ago makes those connections hard to believe. Personally, I feel it was probably an experiment, perhaps conducted by Thompson himself, to see if he had achieved immortality or not. It seems he, at least in the physical sense of the word, was not quite there yet. His death is another serious blow to the decaying "freedom" of speech there in the US.
So thanks Hunter for the truth as you saw it, and the truth as you told it, and the truth as we read it. So long and good luck out there!
