Uh, testing, testing, is this on? Hello. Hello, Cleveland, can you hear me? Anyone, hello? Hello? What? Oh, right, moment. Typing, web, I thought they could here me, no? OK, ok, I’ll keep typing. Hitting the ol’ keys. OK, here we go…
Prague, Czech Republic, former Czechoslovakia, former Austro-Hungarian Empire, former seat of the Holy Roman Empire, former…well, you get the idea, Prague. I have to say, it’s cold, but that’s ok. I have to say this is the most “Prague” like winter we’ve had since I got here. Prague Like, you know, bitter cold, blowing icy winds, grey communist snow on the ground, that kind of winter. For us, it’s been great. I love the snow, and the cold doesn’t bother me that much (thank you growing up in the mountains). On Monday, it will all take on a new meaning. That’s when I go back to work. Working when it’s cold and snowy is a whole different thing. At least the first 2 weeks are pre-production. That means a greater chance of staying inside. After that, who knows? Who know what the weather will bring, what the work will bring, what the gods will bring.
Once we get going, and the work is coming fast and furious, I will defiantly try to be more diligent and get a post a day up here so you all can share my pain, and pleasure.
The films is called “.” It is to be, unless something dramatic happens before then, by a guy named Eli Roth (I think the film “Camp Fear” is the one that put our man Eli on the Hollywood Map – he turned 1.5 mil into over 40, and made a pretty good horror flick at the same time). I am, strangely, looking forward to this job. After working on “Believe in Me,” a feel good film of giant proportions, with a small budget, working on this film, of a much smaller budget – but with realistic expectations – should be, well, not relaxing, but at least enjoyable.
So stay tuned, and feel free to ask any questions that might occur to you. Sometimes I don’t remember that most people don’t work on movies, and will use good ol’ film jargon. Questions are encouraged, and so is sending me your money!
