A quick farewell to one the greatest.

Though not fully proven (his birth records were reportedly destroyed in the 1905 quake in San Francisco), Oscar was known by many to be the worlds oldest cat. His age stretched well beyond the need to do the "multiply by 7" thing, he was considered old in people years too.
I first met Oscar way back in 1990 when I moved to Santa Cruz for school. Even back then, Oscar was already 'old;' but, back in those days, he was old in that 'multiply by 7' sense of the word. Now, almost 15 years later, he has finally passed on into the next world, a world where I imagine his years of life experience in what is our understanding of the space / time continuum, this world as our present stage on the life ladder, will make those who meet him in his new place of being feel that he has already lived longer, and better, than they ever will, even as a new born entity there in the next stage of existence.
Thanks to the gods that gave us the likes of Oscar, and my they take care of him wherever he may be now.
