Right now I am Waiting! Waiting! Waiting!
And more waiting. I am waiting for a call that could change the course of future history as we might have known. I am waiting for a call that will either open the heaves (not like the storm we have here right now) to possibilities only dreamt of, or relegate such dreams a waste of time and effort. Any second now I will get a call that will let me know if I will get that coveted job in Clovis! Yes, the metropolis ruling over east New Mexico, and parts of West Texas, beckons!

If the web site is to believed, they have a La Quinta, a wall-mart, and, depending on how time has progressed, even a Lowe's! Dang! I might be working in CLOVIS! If, like me, and hopefully few of you are, you weren’t absolutely sure just where the hell Clovis, New Mexico, is. Perhaps this will help: Clovis is right

Now that we all know what it is we are talking about, I just want to reiterate - I don't know yet if I have the job! Don't start thinking, "All right! Free place to stay in Clovis!" Tonight, hopefully in a few hours, I will know. A few very tense hours of waiting for the world to completely change, for me to be whisked out of this city of one thousand mysterious grey spires and dark twisting alleys leading to smokey bars filled with really good cheap beer into the haven of flat, dusty streets that all lead to Wall-Mart. I will soon be free of these forward thinking “Europeans,” and back where I belong – surrounded by people who think republicans are a good idea. What a relief it will be, check that, it could be. Still waiting. Waiting.
As long as I can get some good Chili Rellenos, and some Sopapillas, I will make it, I will survive! After all, it’s only for a few weeks.
